Gettings fellow golfers
Well my competition season is over and its fair to say its been very mixed for sure.
I have finished the season ranked 17th on the Disabled European Tour OOM, now I’m not too glum about this as i haven’t played that many comps, so I’m very optimistic for next season.
I got my first hole in one, bit of a anti-climax really as i thought i would have been more excited. It was during a match, so i suppose the concentration was on winning the round. I am looking forward to the next one (when ever that may be).
I was lucky enough to play some Pro-Am’s this year promoting disabled golf with ISPSHanda, Meeting some great people who apparently found me very inspirational in everything I’m doing. My response is that I’m just getting on with life, its far too short.
And finally i got to wear the clothing of Bunker Mentality which got me the best dressed player (apparently I’m the David Beckham of disabled golf, just not that good…lol). Its has been an honour to wear this colourful and great fitting clothing and i look forward to sending in my application to become an ambassador for the 2016-2017 season. A massive thanks to Nick and the team for all the hard work in helping golfed around the world look amazing.
For me this winter brings a tough training programme, as i begin to play on one leg. Early results look promising for sure but a long 4 months lies ahead before the french Open in March/April. I will try to post some videos as well to let you all see how that works out.
Have a great festive period people and remember its colder out there, so go a for a softer ball and play low
