Bad day on the driver but the irons rescue me Lol so

May 2015

so a cold Sunday morning and only one thing for it that is to get on the home track and play a round with my good friend Vernon King

the home track is The Hertfordshire.  A Nicklaus design course which offers great green layout coupled with great water holes make this course a great rest of golf.  The driver which is usually the stronger part of my game clearly forgot to turn up. Fortunately there are holes image imageon this course that with a good hybrid or iron can keep you in the whole.  The driver hibernated for the next hours 30 and my round got better.  Coming into the last six holes (which is the best part of the course ) I manage to navigate the water well, chipped well and putted well.  A round of 86 was incredibly satisfying.

This is such an annoying game sometimes -if only I could drive the ball, but saying that it may have been a bad iron day if the driver went well.

Great game and managed to win lunch an a few beers

Definitely a need for a driver lesson

recommend to anyone near the Hertfordshire area to have a crack on this course
