Easter on tour in Cornwall

The Easter school holidays saw my wife Karen and I travel down to Bodmin for a 4 night break at Lanhydrock GC and hotel.  Great weather greeted us and indeed stayed with us for the whole time until we travelled back on Good Friday, luckily in the opposite direction to all the traffic.  So many great courses down in Cornwall to choose from, with Trevose my personal favourite.  The par 5 fourth hole sticking straight out into the sea, big bunker and water hazard (Bobby’s Bay) beyond the green!

Bunker Mentality gear not just reserved for the golf course, as we took the opportunity to visit Looe for a pasty and did the South West Coastal walk from Looe to Polperro and back again, pushing my fitbit to a new daily high of 35816 steps.  Combined with 2 rounds of golf on the hotel course, we certainly burned off the cream teas and other calories consumed.

Too warm for the jacket…

The golf gear I have to say is really comfortable, but there was no need for a jacket as the temparature was warm, the sun was shining and the course was playing very well for this time of the year.  Wearing it well on vacation.
