First Society Game of the Season

Picture the scene, as I skipped out of the house at 9:30am on Sunday the 22nd of March…. Beautiful blue skies, sun beaming as bright as the smile on my face, and my favourite golf top comfortably adorning my torso… the Golf War Polo in Navy.

A bacon barm and a few coffees were the fuel of the day in the Boysnope Golf Club club house, and off we went. The car park was full, as all of the fair-weather golfers were out in force. Unfortunately, there was a bit of slow play ahead of us, but the excitement and weather combined to remove any ill-feeling.

At the turn, I had 18 Stableford points, which was 1 point behind two of the gents in my fourball. A chip in from 40 yards on the par 5 15th saved a point, which put me 1 ahead going in to the final 3 holes. Longest drive on the 16th won me the £8 pot, and the final hole saw me hold my nerve to win on the day by 1 point, with 36 points.

Plenty of compliments about the Golf War Polo, and my all-round game, along with two victories on the day, made it a very special day! Not to mention Boysnope having Warsteiner on tap… the day just got better as it went on.

Roll on game two at Hart Common on April 15th.

If I don’t get chosen again as an Ambassador for 2015-16, it’s been an absolute honour to represent Bunker Mentality. I will continue to Wear It Well.
