Getting the milk bottles out

Today I had a 9:30am tee time which felt a little early following a night out.  The Summer Ball I attended was to raise money for the school my kids attend and was held at Hazlemere Golf Club.  The view of the course from the Luke Donald Suite where functions are held is amazing especially on a Summers night.  Whilst enjoying the view the drinks were flowing.  I was not shocked to wake up with a sore head and there was a part of me that thought bed might be a better option than golf.

After a round of golf you often hear people compare stories of how unlucky they are and that with a little bit of luck their score could of been much better.  It is not often you hear a golfer talk about the good fortune they had in a round.
I had my fair share of luck on the course today and I took advantage of these lucky breaks and scored well.  For example my tee shot on the 13th hole was going left and heading out of bounds but the trees saved me and I found my ball on the fairway.  I finished the round with 39 stableford points and played 3 under my handicap.  It won’t be enough to win the competition but my handicap might be reduced slightly.  The aim is to get to a handicap of 12 by the end of the year so any reduction on my current 14.8 handicap will help.

The good weather resulted in me wearing a pair of shorts and getting the milk bottles out for the first time this year.  Lets hope this weather stays so my legs can get a bit of colour.  I wore the Nino Tech shorts, a chino style pair of shorts that looked great with my white Bunker Mentality polo shirt – links are below
